Glen, the primary owner of Bakerview/ Pat Power , loves the buying and selling component of trading lumber. With 25 years in the business, a grading ticket, familiarity with all cedar mills and remanufacturers,  Glen provides leadership to all of the lumber trading team. His own product specialty is WRC short clears.

When not putting together a lumber deal, Glen can be found riding bike, motorbike, playing ball hockey, and enjoying his family.

Dave Pollock

A “qualified accountant” by trade and part owner, Dave oversees the administrative, and financial matters of Bakerview/Pat Power.  Dave does some buying for the company inventory programs, and engages in sales. Dave knows the company's Western USA I5 distribution programs well.

Dave enjoys downtime with his great wife, and twin girls.

Pat Power

Pat spent over 30 years in the WRC lumber business and is the patriarch of Pat Power Forest Products. While he is generally considered retired, his love of the business sees Pat in the office on occasion. Pat's historic WRC experience, grading ticket, strong drying knowledge, and most importantly his principled approach to business, are an example and resource for all Bakerview/ Pat Power lumber traders.

Nancy Brulotte

With the Bakerview/ Pat Power team for over 8 years, Nancy is responsible for Inventory Control, Costing, and Production. She is an expert with the company's lumber software, and knows all Bakerview division business well. Nancy is extremely efficient, and instrumental  in assisting traders in preventing errors, and in memory dynamics.

Sharon Gulbransen

Sharon has been with the Bakerview/Pat Power team for almost 19 years. She primarily looks after Invoicing (including export documentation), and A/R. Working half time, Sharon has extensive knowledge, and provides support for the Western Canada and US business. She keeps wayward traders in line, with her diligence and attention to detail.

Heather Vandenbrink

Heather brings over 13 years of experience in lumber wholesale and distribution. At Bakerview/Pat Power, she carries out Inventory control, costing, production runs etc;, and A/P. Heather has great attention to detail and creates a fun environment in the office, and has the loudest laugh of us all.

Heather stays fit by running, and trains for 10K runs.

Norm Zieberth

With over 25 years of experience in the forest industry, Norm works half time assisting in general accounting and accounts payable. Norm is a self admitted "creature of habit", who does not quit at "quitting time".

Norm has a movie library second to none, and enjoys spending time with his three Grandchildren.

Chris Catlin

Certified with grading ticket, Chris runs the Bakerview/ Pat Power reman program in Hamilton, WA(primarily specializing in WRC commons). Chris is very familiar with most Pacific Northwest US Mills. Chris also runs a growing Eastern Cypress program, distributed out of Florida .

Based in Florida , a cool point for Chris is 75 F, or when he laces up his skates for his beloved game, hockey.

Gene Doroshenko

Gene has been in the forest industry for over 39 years, He has had roles in logging, administration, sawmill, reload/distribution, pressure treating plant manager, remanufacture & sales. Gene's current business interests are not specifically geographic, species nor grades related but are entirely customer driven, particularly in specialty products. Challenges are always of interest – new markets, new products, alternatives etc.

Gene enjoys fishing, water sports(skiing), cooking & more importantly, his 2 grandchildren

Ken Friesen

Ken Friesen has over 20 years of experience at both the retail and wholesale level of forest products distribution. Ken's extensive finishing carpentry and general building knowledge plays into his day to day selling. He primarily deals in WRC, and DFIR Industrial and Clears. Ken has a manner of sourcing and supplying one-off highly specified enquiries successfully. (Bridge Timbers, Dock Material, etc.)

Off "ice", Ken likes to do a little dirt biking with his son, and play ice hockey (as his team's enforcer).

Ray Johansen

Prior to joining Bakerview/Pat Power, Ray spent 30 years in sales management and marketing capacities, with a major Coastal mill. Ray is extremely knowledgeable of, and well connected for Dimension Lumber, Boards, and Timbers of multiple species. Situated on Vancouver Island , Ray sells primarily into the domestic (North American) marketplace.

In his spare time, Ray can be found fishing, enjoying the outdoors or listening to and playing music.

Cathy Kuo

Cathy has over 10 years experience in the lumber industry, the last 3 being with Bakerview/Pat Power. She has many contacts with suppliers and shippers of softwoods on the West Coast of Canada. Her primary market is China , and Southeast Asia . She brings strong customer orientation, strong lumber knowledge, and strong language skills (English, Cantonese, Mandarin, and Taiwanese) to her profession.

Dave McCloskey

Prior to joining Bakerview/ Pat Power , Dave spent 13 yrs in Public Sector working with community organizations.  Dave's area of specialty is  Western Red Cedar and Coastal Species  (Timbers, Clears and Commons) He primarily sells into North America (focus on I-5 Corridor) and some export ( Australia ). Dave arrived in lumber "by chance" but has long family ties in the industry in logging and running the tug boats on  Adams Lake early last century.

When the "Gone Fishing" sign is above Dave's desk you will find him playing soccer, floor hockey, snow boarding, ultimate beach vball, squash,trail running,biking and golf .

Jay Morayniss

Jay has been in the lumber business for over 25 years (23 with one firm). For the past 3 years Jay has been primarily selling into the Central and Eastern Canadian Market with the Bakerview/Pat Power team. He is experienced in domestic hardwoods and softwoods.

A hobby gourmet, Jay is very deep into high end stereo equipment

Shin Nakasone

Shin, our Japanese speaking trader,  has been representing Bakerview/Pat Power among Japanese Home Center Distribution, Wholesalers, and Contractors in Japan for the past 12 years. He deals in WRC, J-Grade SPF, and a wide range of non lumber products. Shin also does some local wholesale in Western Canada .

An accomplished golfer, Shin's favourite place for inspecting fibre supply is at the 18 th hole.
